The Bulldogs and Classic Sportswear are proud to announce a three-year extension for Classic to remain the Official Apparel Partner of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs until the end of the 2025 NRL season, extending the current partnership which commenced in 2019.
Classic and the Bulldogs share a history that dates back much longer than that, to 1934 when the Classic brand was established and Canterbury-Bankstown became part of the NSWRL competition, playing their first season in 1935.
Since then both parties have experienced great success, with the Bulldogs claiming five of their eight Premierships with Classic Sportswear as their Official Apparel Partner (1980, 1984, 1985, 1988 and 1995).
Synonymous with Rugby League, Classic Sportswear has been delivering high-performance sportswear for 88 years. Classic Sportswear is 100% Australian owned and is recognised throughout the sporting industry for exceptionally high-quality products for elite athletes and fans.
Michael McDonald, General Manager at Classic Sportswear, said he was delighted to extend the current partnership with the Bulldogs.
“The Classic Sportswear brand has been part of the fabric of Rugby League producing elite sports apparel since 1934, and also part of the rich history and DNA of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs for so many years.
We are excited about what the club is building both on and off the field so extending our current partnership for another three years through to 2025 was not a difficult decision.
We look forward to continuing to deliver high quality, innovative products using cutting edge technology, designed for ultimate performance, durability and comfort.” said McDonald.
“We are so humbled by the desire for Classic Sportswear to continue as our Official Apparel Partner”, said Aaron Warburton, Bulldogs CEO.
“Classic taking us through what will be both brands 90th Anniversary in a few years’ time is a fitting tribute to the two brands long history together, and we look forward to our fans benefiting from Classic’s quality and market leading retail apparel in the years ahead.”
